Camarillo, CA (September 20th, 2021) – Last month, Youth Pride Association (YPA) President, Cameron Bartosiewicz, received the California State University Channel Islands President’s Award for Student Innovation for his Acceptance Week program.
This award for innovation recognizes a student at CSU Channel Islands who has developed and implemented an innovative program that is unique and provided significant contributions to CSUCI and the border community.
The Acceptance Week program is implemented in local high schools to provide a positive and affirming environment for LGBTQ students through a variety of methods of providing education and support. YPA is bringing this program to Royal High School in Semi Valley this academic year.
