Boomi Donates $25,000 to Provide Support for LGBTQ Students
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA (August 22nd, 2024) – The Youth Pride Association (YPA), a national nonprofit working to support LGBTQ students, has received a $25,000 donation from Boomi, the intelligent integration and automation leader, to educate, support, and advocate for LGBTQ students. The donation will help expand no-cost, virtual support services offered to LGBTQ students in 50 states. The donation will also help expand international support service offerings for LGBTQ students in early 2025.
At Boomi’s annual user conference, Boomi World, the company chose to eliminate traditional swag items, opting instead to donate the funds that would have been spent on promotional merchandise to charitable causes. The donation to YPA is a part of this initiative, known as "Boomi Gives Back", and demonstrates the company's commitment to social responsibility and community support.
“At Boomi, we connect everything, everywhere - including connecting with our communities,” said Steve Lucas, CEO at Boomi. “We also believe in aligning our actions with our core values, which include building communities of good humans, being our authentic selves, and showing up for each other with empathy, compassion and purpose. We’re proud to make this donation to the Youth Pride Association to support its mission of fostering acceptance of LGBTQ+ youth in their schools and communities.”
“This incredibly generous donation from Boomi will go a long way to provide for the basic needs of the LGBTQ community we serve,” said Cameron Bartosiewicz, President at Youth Pride Association. “With Boomi’s support, we have already been able to expand the number of LGBTQ students we can provide direct support to, and reduce the time they spend on our waitlists.”
